Q1. Is there an entry fee?
A1. Entry is free of charge. Entrants are however expected to pay Internet connection fees and other costs associated with submitting their entries.

Q2. Who qualifies?
A2. The competition is open to everyone, whether professional or amateur and regardless of nationality, age or sex. Those under 18 years of age may participate with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Q3. What happens if I forget to fill out all the sections in the entry form?
A3. You will not be able to submit the entry form until all required items have been filled out. If you overlook a required field, a message will be displayed. Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the form.

Q4. I understand that previously published works will not be accepted, but what about pictures that have appeared on the web?
A4. You can submit works that have previously been uploaded to personal albums online or that have been posted to your personal website for non-commercial purposes.

Q5. Is it possible to entry the work that was post in Twitter?
A5. Yes. You can also entry work that was posted to Twitter.

Q6. What happens if data are lost or corrupted during upload?
A6. Japan Furries Photo Competition Executive Committee accepts no responsibility for loss of data during upload. Be sure to back up the data before entering the competition.

Q7. Can I submit my entry by post?
A7. No. Entries are accepted only via the Internet.

Q8. Can I E-mail my submissions directly to Japan Furries Photo Competition Executive Committee?
A8. No. Entries can only be submitted via this website. Note that files sent in error to other locations will not be accepted and that you will not be sent notification concerning their receipt.

Q9. I'm having problems uploading data.
A9. Please re-check the file format is in JPEG or try reading the instructions on the entry form again. If you are unable to resolve the problem after reading the instructions, send an E-mail inquiry to jfpc.entry.2024@jfpc.asia

Q10. What format should I save my digital images?
A10. You should submit JPEG images saved with max quality compression with a long dimension of at least 1,400 pixels at 72dpi and no more than 2000 pixels, with either sRGB or untagged color space. We suggest uploading images that are less than 10 megabytes in size.

Q11. What is this year's theme?
A11. The theme this time is "SPIRIT".

Q12. Would it be possible to see the nominated works before the award?
A12. It will be posted on the web page on the day of the award ceremony.

Q13. When is the application period?
A13. 2023/8/1 (Tuesday) - 2023/11/30 (Thursday) (closes at 11:59 p.m. Japan standard time)

Q14. How many entries can I submit?
A14. Maximum submission is 20 pieces of work in photography.

Q15. Do I have to enter my real name as the name of the photographer?
A15. No, you do not need to enter your real name. Handle names are accepted too.

Q16. Which languages will you accept for the title, etc?
A16. Please input in Japanese and English, or only in English.

Q17. What are the selection criteria?
A17. We are sorry but we are not releasing information in regards to the selection process. For the avoidance of doubt, during the selection process, the name of the photographer will not be presented to the jury. Jury will make their selection only with the work title and image.

Q18. Will some entries be open to public voting?
A18. Available. As soon as the voting period is over, we will announce it on the top page and various social media.

Q19. Is entry separate for each award?
A19. The entry method is separate. But you may entry same work to multiple awards.
