Wolf In The City

Photography by Fang
(Republic of Singapore)

Jury Comment:
Congratulation on the Grand Prix.
This is a simple and powerful work that lets us imagine the before and after actions although it is a static picture.
Also, it has a great location and composition and tells the situation smoothly without a verbal explanation.
The quality of the work was beyond juries’ expectations and we believe that Grand Prix was what it deserves.

Hunt for the Dragon

Photography by Kiba Wolf
(United States)

Jury Comment:
Congratulation on the Best Fashion Award.
This work has a great location and composition, but what is more to be highlighted is the quality of the costume. I felt as if I was seeing a scene from a fairy tale.
Costumes must be chosen to display the character to the full. They should be something more than just to ware.
From that point, the costume in this work is wonderfully chosen and it ameliorates the perfection.

Jury Comment:
Congratulation on the Best Messageful Award.
This work tells us the situation smoothly without any special explanation.
It is often said that "Photograph is Subtraction". However, it doesn't mean that the less the information, the better the photo is.
This work presents the situation with the least amount of necessary information.

Nightmare

Photography by Kiba Wolf

Jury Comment:
Congratulation on the Best Lighting Award.
This work involves 2 lightings and both of them are well organized to enhance this work's atmosphere.
The front lamp offers a peaceful and the blue illumination by the window produces a suspicious impression in this one photograph.
Lighting in photographs is not just strobes or lightboxes. This work is a good example of superior lighting.

Under The Moonlight

Photography by Fang
(Republic of Singapore)

Jury Comment:
Congratulation on the Best Composition Award.
This work expresses the circumstance where the character exposes his muscle under the full moon quite well from a low angle.
This work is a good example low-angled photograph.
The size of the character is in a brilliant balance as well and the impression has had changed if it was zoomed in more.
