Winners' comments:
It is truly an honor to stand out among so many outstanding works and win the grand prize.
This is my second time participating in this competition, and I am deeply grateful to every friend who has supported me along the way.

First, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the models, Racoonwolf and Vincent.
Their collaboration made it possible for me to create such remarkable works.
I also want to express my gratitude to the JFPC Executive Committee and the JMoF Executive Committee for consistently organizing such an amazing competition, providing us with a platform to showcase our creativity.

This year’s theme, “BOND,” can be interpreted from many perspectives.
However, I wanted to present it in a warm and heartfelt way, showing that no matter what happens, there is always someone by your side to accompany you.

Finally, I would like to thank Racoonwolf and Vincent once again, as well as the JFPC and JMoF Executive Committees and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.
Every entry in this competition is truly outstanding, and I greatly admire the composition and creativity of each piece.
Receiving this honor fills me with immense gratitude.
Thank you all so much!

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning the Grand Prix.
When I first laid eyes on this piece, I could somehow hear the sound of breaking and receding waves from somewhere.
The two people here are silent, merely cuddling together while gazing at the ocean.
Perhaps they are feeling the warmth of each other's bodies.
Photographs do not inherently have sound of warmth, but I could send them in this piece.
Although at first glance, this piece appears to be a calm photograph that captures only the subjects' backs, it has a strong energy that appeals to the viewer, transcending the limits of the photographic medium.

It's just the two of us

Winners' comments(translated):
It is an honor to receive this prestigious award.

This time, I interpreted the theme, "BOND", as "connection", and developed the concept of this piece based on that interpretation.
In the world I imagined, not only kemono, but also elves and humans, are naturally connected together in a single world.
I worked on this piece based on the theme of expressing, in a single piece, a world where kemono and those who love kemono are connected, regardless of race, gender, or other distinctions.

In applying for this fashion award, I paid attention to the silhouettes and colors of each model's outfit in order to ensure that they were consistent with the studio background.
Above all, I would like to thank City-Run and Arisawa Arinco, who played the role of the elf, for their cooperation in the creation of this piece.
The time we spent in advance on scouting locations and having meetings to discuss outfits, time that we spent creating this single piece, was wonderful. Thank you very much.

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning this award.
When I first saw this piece, I was amazed at its level of perfection.
The outfits, props, and composition all contribute to the level of perfection of this piece.
Although it is difficult to tell the relationship between the two subjects from this photograph alone, the outfits suggest that this noble pair may be alone together only in this place. This is a piece that stirs this kind of imagination.
It is necessary to clarify the worldview of a piece in order to enhance its level of perfection, and this piece is a model that makes one realize how important outfit choices are in creating a worldview.

Winners' comments:
I am truly delighted and honored to receive this award.
It is such an amazing encouragement for me.
I've always enjoyed the nighttime, as it provides more room for imagination compared to other times of the day.
Many films portray the night in shades of blue, but in reality, nights are much darker.
Capturing an image that radiates blue tones in such darkness was a challenge, especially when the camera's focus became unreliable.
Overcoming these obstacles and successfully creating this piece brought me so much joy.
The warmth of a glowing light beneath the bunker, combined with heartfelt conversations in the stillness of the night, is something truly aspirational.
Thank you to the judges for appreciating and recognizing this work!

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning this award.
This is a piece in which you can hear the whispers of the two subjects in a quiet space where only the sound of the wind is audible, in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city that fills the background.
I felt that this piece did an excellent job at visualizing a world exclusive to the two of them.
What are they talking about?
But we don't need to know.
Isn't it enough to know that these two peple are spending their time alone, with each other, huddled together?
This piece allows the viewer to experience the warmth of feelings through the photographic medium, and it is truly a piece that surpasses language barriers and appeals to the viewer.

Our ultimate bond

Photography by Run
(Japan)

Winners' comments(translated):
I am honored to receive this prestigious award. I would like to thank everyone involved in the judging process.
While there are many photographs of pairs of characters and owners out there, I wanted to create a minimalist expression that focused exclusively on truly important elements in order to differentiate my work from those of others.
The idea for this piece came to me after a bath, and I immediately took the photograph in my own room.
The lighting is a single light controlled with a snoot.
It was difficult not to be able to check the picture at all while taking the photograph, as this was a self-portrait that I took using a remote control.
I would like to continue to devote myself to my work while believing in the potential of expression in self-portraits.

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning this award.
When lighting is used, there is a tendency to easily brighten or darken the entire composition, but this piece effectively utilizes a snoot, which can focus light and direct it in a specific direction.
It is often said that "photography is subtraction", and this piece utilizes a snoot to restrict light and reduce the amount of information. Another key point is that the photograph is monochromatic, reducing the amount of color information to the maximum extent possible, resulting in a photograph that sends a clear message and is free of superfluous elements.
This is a technique that I would like to see those who are taking photographs with lighting equipment attempt.

Winners' comments:
It is a tremendous honor for this piece to be recognized again with another award, and I couldn't be happier.
The dusky blue sky, the drifting clouds, the sparkling streetlights, the swaying grasses—all layered together in this image.
Against this vast and complex backdrop, the husky and brown bear appear so small, highlighting the enormity of the world.
Yet, it is within this vastness that their connection becomes even more precious.
Walking with my partner to this bunker wasn't an easy journey.
The unstable weather and overgrown paths left me feeling a bit overwhelmed.
But my partner's incredible trust helped me regain focus, allowing me to compose this shot carefully.
Hiding in the grass felt almost wild and free.
Once again, I'd like to thank the JFPC Executive Committee and the JMoF Executive Committee for their continuous support of this competition.
Thank you, everyone.

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning this award.
With the urban nightscape that dominates the composition as a backdrop, this piece makes the viewer feel as though the private world of the two subjects is expanding before them, a place like a secret base known only to them, existing in the middle of nowhere.
The balance of the composition is exquisite, and if one zooms in any further to make the characters appear larger, the charm of this piece will be lost.
This piece makes effective use of "empty spaces" in its composition.
The image of a piece changes drastically depending on how empty spaces are used, so I hope that this piece will become a reference for that.

Winners' comments:
I am at a loss for words—it is truly an honor to receive this award once again.
It warms my heart to know that this piece resonated with the furry fandom.
I'd like to express my deepest gratitude to my models, the husky 'Meteor' and the brown bear'ヘルヴェス'.
Together, we climbed hills and crossed graveyards.
The journey was far more difficult than expected, but the shared memories have strengthened our bond.
For those who know me, you know that I also have my own fursuit and often hope to capture myself through the lens.
Choosing between photographing others or joining in the fun is always such a difficult decision for me!
Thank you again to everyone who made this possible.
Your recognition means the world to me.

Winners' comments:
I am extremely honored to be selected to receive this award from among so many wonderful entries.
I entered this year's competition on the invitation of a friend, but I ended up taking the photographs in my garage just before the entry deadline. As the space was small, and there were extraneous objects that would be captured in the photograph, I had to work hard to give the photograph a three-dimensional feel by coming up with a way to arrange the motorcycles. Aside from that, this was my first attempt at taking a self-portrait while wearing a head, and it took me longer than expected to take it as I wasn't used to it and didn't have a good grasp of how to do it. However, taking this photograph was a new challenge, and a good memory and experience for me.
It may be a common expression, but I posed the two animals standing with their backs to each other, and with weapons in ther hands, to express the bond between them, as if they had each other's backs no matter the situation.
Once again, thank you very much to everyone who voted for my piece.

Jury Comments(Photographer / Shinji Hanino)(translated):
Congratulations on winning this award.
The two subjects depicted in this photograph are close partners who are working towards a certain goal, and although they appear to be cool at first glance, there seems to be a passionate "bond" between them.
This piece is undoubtedly a straightforward expression of the meaning of "BOND", the theme of this award's call for entries.
This is the first time we have received an entry from you, and judging from the high level of perfection of this piece, I cannot help but look forward to the pieces that you create in the future. I hope that you will continue to work hard on creating new pieces.
